Head of Art and Design
We are seeking a highly creative, experienced, and versatile Head of Art and Design to join our lean, high-performing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the visual direction and design efforts for Kilonova and our portfolio companies, ensuring that all brand touchpoints are visually compelling, cohesive, and aligned with each project's unique identity and objectives.
As the Head of Art and Design, you will work closely with our partners, marketing, and content teams to develop and execute brand and design strategies that elevate our clients' brands, captivate their audiences, and drive engagement across various channels. Your work will encompass a wide range of deliverables, including brand identity systems, high-performing websites, UI mockups, marketing collateral, and social media assets.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the visual direction and design efforts for Kilonova and our portfolio companies, ensuring consistency and quality across all touchpoints
- Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategy work
- Create visually compelling and user-centric website designs that drive engagement and conversions
- Create visually compelling marketing collateral, such as pitch decks, one-pagers, infographics, and social media assets
- Design engaging UI mockups for web and mobile applications to illustrate our concepts to portfolio projects
- Develop and execute brand identity systems, including logos, color palettes, typography, and visual guidelines
- Collaborate with marketing, content, and development teams to ensure design alignment and optimal implementation across various channels
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices in the Web3 and blockchain space,
- Contribute to the development of design strategies and pitch materials to help secure new client projects
Required Skills and Attributes
- 10+ years of experience as an Art Director, Creative Director, or Senior Designer,
- Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design work across web/mobile UI, brand identity, web design and marketing collateral
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and MidJourney
- Deep understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to clients and team members
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing for blockchain, Web3, or DeFi projects
- Familiarity with motion graphics, animation, and video editing
- Interest in Blockchain and Decentralization ethos
- Fluency in English
